Bill Hughes

     Cantautore originario del Texas, Bill Hughes esordisce discograficamente con I Lazarus, trio che propone un interessante folk-rock acustico e con i quali incide due album all'inizio degli anni '70. Rimane poi lontano dalla scena musicale fino al 1979 anno in cui, firmato un contratto con la Epic, pubblica un lavoro in cui compare una lista impressionante di musicisti di alto livello tra cui Jeff Porcaro, Wilton Felder, Russ Kunkel e Jay Graydon. Il sound però rimane sempre pacato, perlopiù acustico, e si muove in maniera gradevole tra pop-rock ed il folk-rock degli esordi dell'artista. Dopo un secondo album di leggero folk-rock pubblicato a proprio nome nel 1981, Hughes si dedica esclusivamente alla composizione per altri artisti e alle colonne sonore televisive.
