Nights Are Forever (Big Tree 1976)

     Dopo i primi due deludenti album di inizio decade, England Dan & John Ford Coley riescono ad ottenere un nuovo contratto con la Big Tree che pubblica il loro nuovo lavoro nel 1976. Il disco ottiene subito un grande succeso grazie ai due singoli estratti, "I'd really love to see tonigh" e "Nights are forever without you", entrambi scritti da Parker McGee, che arrivano ai primi posti delle classifiche americane. Questi pezzi, come anche i rimanenti firmati dai due artisti, sono in uno stile pop molto melodico, con accenti country-folk che, dopo vari ascolti, risultano abbastanza monotoni e tendono ad annoiare. L'album perciņ, pur essendo piacevoli le due composizioni di McGee, offre pochi altri episodi di rilievo come "Everything's gonna be alright", unico brano leggermente ritmato. Nel complesso un lavoro discreto ma molto leggero ed anche eccessivamente lento.
