Liner

      I due fratelli gemelli Tom e Dave Farmer, rispettivamente bassista e batterista, sono i leaders dei Blackfoot Sue, gruppo hard rock inglese responsabile di due album che escono nel 1973 e 1974. Dopo un terzo disco inciso nel 1975 ma mai pubblicato, la band cessa di esistere ma i due fratelli, coinvolgendo anche il chitarrista Eddie Golga, danno vita ai Liner. Il nuovo gruppo riesce a firmare un contratto con la Atlantic e, sotto la produzione di Arif mardin, a pubblicare un album omonimo nel 1979. Questa volta il sound si orienta verso un pop-rock dalle infuenze soul-disco che porta anche in classifica il singolo "Keep Reaching Out For Love". Il lavoro nel complesso è leggero ed orecchiabile, sicuramente non memorabile, ma ha il pregio di farsi ascoltare con piacere dall'inizio alla fine.
