Michael Kenny

    Cantautore e tastierista newyorkese, Michael Kenny pubblica un solo album nel 1976 per la piccola etichetta Tom Cat. Il lavoro si avvale di ottimi musicisti come David Spinozza, Rick Marotta e Hugh McCracken ma il risultato è alquanto discontinuo. Il pop-rock proposto dall'artista, che firma quasi tutti i pezzi, risulta appesantito da un eccessiva orchestrazione che non rende giustizia ad alcune buone intuizioni melodiche. Piacevoli le due cover presenti, "Midnight Cruiser" degli Steely Dan e "You Are The Song (That I Can't Stop Singing)" dei River, quest'ultima cantata anche da Frankie Valli nello stesso anno per il suo album "Valli". Dopo questo disco esce nel 1977 "Love Me Or Leave Me", interessante singolo che chiude la carriera musicale di Kenny e che trovate inserito in scaletta come bonus track.
