    Cantautore nato a San Francisco, Phillip Francis Stumpo incide a proprio nome un solo album nel 1978. L'artista scrive tutti i brani del disco presentandoci un pop raffinato ricco di tante influenze. Si parte con le venature jazz di "Losing your taste for it all" e "Dont' hold back your loving", si incontrano i ritmi sostenuti di "Lying next to me" e "One man circus", la swingante "Pamela" e quā e lā ballate interpretate con voce da crooner come "For a special lady", "Changes", "The man she sees in me" e "Now they say you're leaving". Ma il pezzo migliore arriva sul finale con "Just a matter of time", bel medio tempo nel classico stile pop californiano di fine anni '70. In alcuni momenti l'album potrebbe risultare eccessivamente melodico ma verrā apprezzato da chi ama artisti come Kenny Rankin e Michael Franks. Il vinile, pubblicato in poche copie dalla piccola etichetta Billetdoux, č una vera raritā ma fortunatamente il lavoro č stato recentemente ristampato in cd con l'aggiunta di tre brani inediti.
